Its unique modular design with detachable arms allows the PowerEgg X to turn into a video camera in just one snap.  Simply attach the versatile unit to the included tripod mount, connect it to a standard tripod, or set it near a digital device! Compatible with popular platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Webex, users are no longer tied to their desks and are impressing classmates or meeting attendees aplenty!       “The PowerEgg X’s AI video conferencing camera capabilities fit very nicely in the worlds of distance learning, business meetings, job interviews, daily work tasks, and many other activities,” said Wally Zheng, Founder, and CEO of PowerVision. “Its 4k/60fps output and three-axis gimbal produce crystal-clear, stunning 12-megapixel images, making it perfect for such applications. When combined with Artificial Intelligence and facial recognition technology, users are no longer stationary and are free to move about while the camera tracks them.”   PowerVision is keenly aware that the Covid-19 pandemic has drastically changed the way people live.  Dining room tables have become classrooms, small living room corners have  been transformed into conference rooms or private offices. Its special facial recognition, deep learning, and a tracking field of view up to 170° keeps subjects in the middle of the frame at all times without repositioning the unit.   Users who find their hands full can begin or end their video participation with a simple hand or body gesture. Through deep learning, based on a database of gestures, the PowerEgg X supports multi-gesture intelligent recognition for a variety of functions.   In addition to the AI video conferencing camera mode, PowerEgg X also includes Autonomous Personal AI Camera, Handheld Gimbal Camera, or Smart Drone modes. In drone mode, the PowerEgg X is a professional tool for aerial photography and videography. Interdrone 2016 Highlights and our favorite drones!

We had the opportunity to cover the recent Interdrone 2016. We are into technology and are huge huge fans of drones. Our first impression of the show was from a Key Note by Chris Anderson from 3d Robotics(3DR).

: He spoke in reference to control of drones and processing of data via the cloud. He also said that the future would bring drones for a variety of uses from security to delivery and for emergency life saving usage as well.

A bit of information on Chris Anderson:

Chris is the CEO of 3D Robotics and founder of DIY Drones. From 2001 through 2012 he was the Editor in Chief of Wired Magazine. Before Wired, he was with The Economist for seven years in London, Hong Kong and New York. Chris is the author of the New York Times bestselling books “The Long Tail” and “Free” as well as the new “Makers: The New Industrial Revolution.” Chris also founded GeekDad, BookTour and a few other companies now lost in the mists of time. His background is in science, starting with studying physics and doing research at Los Alamos and culminating in six years at the two leading scientific journals, Nature and Science. He now lives in Berkeley, California with his wife and five children.

In terms of the show and its technology we were impressed by Powervisions Poweregg.

 :

We love would do get one to review and help education and autism too. We like the folding propellers as well as its’ innovative design. It reminded us of the Flying Robot Eve from the Wallee movie. They also had a more high end drone that competes with the DJI Inspire line of drones as well. It is the Powereye PowerVision PowerEye

The next interesting and orange drone was the Autel Robotics XStar Premium drone  which we also found to be impressive in terms of its’ design, and features.

Here is a video of it operation:

We also had the opportunity to talk with the folks from Teal, who were showing the worlds fastest production drone:

At only 18 years old, George Matus is the CEO of his own drone and software company, Teal, which sells the fastest consumer drone in the world.

Image result for george matus teal

Teal is powered by the NVIDIA TX1, a crazy powerful mini supercomputer. It handles machine learning, autonomous flight, image recognition, and much more with ease, onboard the drone itself. This makes Teal a flying supercomputer. You can even plug Teal into a monitor, use it like a normal computer, play games on it, and go fly when you want!

Finally, we had the opportunity to visit with the folks at Yuneec(Pronounced like unique)

Though Yuneec offers a variety of drones for this article we found the most interesting one to be the Breeze due its’ size and the fact that it was unique from its’ competition in terms of its’s size and design.

According to Yuneec:

Introducing Breeze, the flying camera designed with you in mind. Both convenient and compact, Breeze is controlled by your iOS or Android device with the Breeze Cam app and weighs just under 1 pound. Now capture aerial photos and video of your daily adventures effortlessly– and do it in stunning 4K Ultra High Definition. Simply take Breeze out of the box and let it fly.

Overall we found the size and design, and the 4k video capabilities of the Breeze to be rather compelling. We would love to get one to test and review and do events for education and autism too. It also seems to be at an excellent price point as well.

Our overall impression of this years Interdrone event were really positive. The show and technology has advanced quite a bit in the last 12 months. We are huge fans of drones and their capabilities. We are trying to use drones and 3d printing to do events to help stem education and autism! We covered some of the highlights of the show and what we were intrigued by at the show.
The only downside to the show is that 3dr and DJI were not exhibiting at the show, we would have liked to have sen them at the show as well.

Reviews-DJI Phantom 3, Cel Robox 3d Printer and Seemecnc Delta Orion 3d Printer!

In our efforts on the web to do reviews and help autism too, now after 5+ years on the web we are starting to get somewhere to get technology to use to to review, and help autism and stem education too.

We were donated a DJI Phantom 3 Standard, loaned an Amazing Cel Robox 3d printer, and a really nice Seemecnc Delta Orion printer too.

We are in the process of testing and reviewing these devices and intend to use them for autism events in the near future too!

We appreciate the opportunity to work with DJI, Cel-Robox and Seemecnc!

In the Process of Testing and Reviewing the ByRobot Drone Fighter

We were given a Byrobot Drone figter to test at CES 2015:

We are huge fans of drones and want to really delve into the various types sizes, and brands.

So far we are quite impressed, and will do a follow up review of it once we more thoroughly test it. One of my teen age sons has been testing it as well and is quite impressed.

Here is a Youtube video that we were sent a link to from a flyover that the folks from Byrobot did at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas.

Sadly enough we do not, at this point have the camera.

We are still learning to fly the wee device but this is a cool image from Byrobots site showing the flight capabilities of the mini drone–>

So far it is a nice device.

The one thing that I wish it had was a gyroscope of some sort so that it can hover in place.

We will have a follow up article and some videos as well once we are more versed in flying it.

One nice aspect of the product is the quite decent flight simulator software that it comes with. One can plug the tiny controller that comes with the quadcopter into your pc and you can practice flying it in a virtual environment.
